NPR journalist Shapiro who hosts the Mole
Cracking the Code: A Tricky NPR Journalist Clue
Hey crossword enthusiasts! This week’s puzzle threw a real curveball, leaving me scratching my head for longer than usual. It wasn’t a particularly difficult clue, but it did require a bit of lateral thinking to land on the answer.
The clue itself was deceptively simple:
“NPR journalist who hosts ‘The Mole'”
. It immediately conjured up images of the popular game show, a favorite amongst many. But, the real challenge lay in connecting that image to a specific NPR journalist.
My mind immediately went to the usual suspects: familiar names from shows like “All Things Considered” and “Morning Edition”. But, none of them seemed to fit the bill. I began to question the clue itself – was there a hidden wordplay at work?
After a few minutes of frustration (and a quick glance at the “Across” and “Down” clues for any helpful hints), I decided to approach this clue from a different angle. Instead of focusing on the NPR aspect, I started brainstorming journalists who could potentially be game show hosts.
Suddenly, a name popped into my head:
[Answer Redacted]
. A quick Google search confirmed my suspicions, and there he was – the host of “The Mole” on Netflix, and a familiar voice from NPR’s “Here & Now”.
This was a classic example of how a simple clue can lead you on a wild goose chase if you’re not paying attention to the subtle hints. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the answer is right there in front of you, but you need to look at it from a different perspective to see it.
